Epidemic - Epi means to come upon, Demos means on humans , therefore an epidemic is an deadly virus that attaches itself to an human rapidly changing the DNA of the host. By Isabel Cutter
Through out the history of mankind plagues have attacked mammals and regenerated and adapted to survive from being a single of ameba cell. The evolution of the plague lies within DNA replication. As humans we live on other mammals and vegetation. The molecular structures of the species around us are constantly changing. The virus that attacks wildlife, flora and fauna have implications on our DNA. We are synthesising nature's basic genomes and trying replica and perfect medical sciences to feed our growing worlds. In process mother nature is trying to gain balance. Epidemics cripple our economies and lead to global financial decline as trade comes to a halt from regions affected.
Meanwhile With koko and Teddy at home:
Koko: Teddy Ranybow is on the phone!
Teddy: Coming darling
Teddy: Ranybow how can I assist
Ranybow: The team will be deployed in the Sudan for a few weeks.
Teddy: Why do we need to go there.
Ranybow: We need to slow down an epidemic that is spreading across Africa.
Teddy: Are you referring to Ebola Ranybow.
Ranybow: The information for this trip is classified. Koko will tell you on arrival.
Koko: Honey did Rany brief you.
Teddy: Lord what is going on Koko?
Koko: I can you tell part of the mission now.
Teddy: That's good enough for me.
Koko: There is an epidemic spreading rapidly in North Africa along the coastline. We are worried that the virus was seaborne. We need to go into war torn region in Africa to set up clinics to limit the spread of the disease.
Teddy: Go on...
Koko: A virus called Visceral leishmaniasis was prevalent in the late 90s which 1984 to 1994.
Teddy: The HIV virus is also an issue in the region.
Koko: Yes the virus Visceral leishmaniasis created a strain of HIV Leishmania–HIV co-infection. Which accelerates the rate at which HIV mutates and destroys the human body.
Teddy: God Damn Ranybow this is a death mission.
Koko: I need you to stay calm, African exports and imports are suffering from the spread of the new virus. Its crippling and reducing the populations of the countries. That's all I can say at the moment. This is affecting the food markets globally.
Teddy: I will get the team ready.
